George William Brodie, 99, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in Terre Haute. He was born November 1, 1913 in Brooklyn, NY to Harry and Gussie Brodie.
George was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Evelyn and Florence and their husbands.
He is survived by his daughters, Anne Mandel (Norman) of Atlanta, GA, and Janis Brodie of New York; his son, James Brodie(Melanie) of Terre Haute. Also, many grandchildren, including Craig Brodie of Indianapolis, and Derek Davis (Nicole) of Terre Haute.
George was retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve as a Chief Petty Officer, serving 32 years total, with 10 years of active duty.
