George Varghese Thazhampallath, 78, of Middletown, beloved husband of Aleyamma (Abraham) Thazhampallath for fifty-three years, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 12th at Hartford Hospital. Born in India, he was the son of the late T.K. and Achamma (Kochukunj) Varghese. George immigrated to the United States in 1968 and had lived in Middletown since 1975. In India, he worked as a Civil Engineer in the State Public Works Department for fifteen years and after immigrating to the U.S.A., George worked for Northeast Utilities as a design engineer for thirty-three years.
