Mr. George Urwin Metcalf Jr, age 83 of Cleveland passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
George was born on March 8, 1930 in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late George Urwin Metcalf Sr. and Rebecca Reid Metcalf. He spent most of his adult life in West Palm Beach, graduating in 1949 from Palm Beach High School. George entered the United States Navy in 1951 and served with honor during the Korean Conflict, serving at the Key West Naval Station.
In addition to his wife, Evelyn Metcalf of Cleveland, George is survived by his daughter, Lisa Metcalf; daughter and son in law, Kathleen Lorraine and Shawn Rich; son and daughter in law, Charles and Susan Metcalf; grandchildren, Matthew and Christa Grantham, Dakota Smith, John Henry Metcalf and Charles William Metcalf.
