George Stevens, age 59, of Pioneer, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. George Gordon Stevens was born on December 6, 1956 in Sayre, Pennsylvania to Gordon and Dorothy (Neuber) Stevens. He attended Northeast Bradford schools and graduated from Northeast Bradford High School in 1977. Following his graduation, George attended Williamsport Area Community College and received his Associates Degree in Diesel Mechanics. On June 10, 1978, George was united in marriage to Tammie Sue Troxel in Wysox, Pennsylvania. George worked as a diesel mechanic for Monson Trucking. George was first and foremost a family man. He loved working as a mechanic and spending time riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Tammie Stevens of Pioneer; children: Susan Stevens of Rockwell City, David (Brittany) Stevens of Rodman, Myriah Stevens of Fort Dodge and Brian (Christina) Degner of Rockport, Texas; 13 grandchildren; sister, Rose Schroder of Frontenac, Minnesota and brother, Kelvin Arnold of Smyrna, Delaware. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Rowe and brother, John Stevens
