Lt. Colonel George Smolen, USAF, Retired, 88 passed away Monday, June 8, 2015. George was past president of the Oak Park Home Owners Association and worked with the Planning and Zoning Board of Brevard County. After retiring from the military George was a practicing orthodontist in Puerto Rico for over 20 yers.
George is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary (Peggy) Smolen; daughters, Lynn Wiggins, Mary Smolen Moore, Suzanne O’Neill; 6 granddaughters and two sisters Susan Smolen and Marge Kawala.
