George “Skip” Edward Wilt, 79 of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at United Hospital Center. He was born July 23, 1938 in Clarksburg, WV; the son of the late George Calvin and Hazel Cora (Brookover) Wilt.

Skip is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marvalene Rebecca (Osborn) Wilt; four daughters, Debbi Wilt, Edyie Bennett & husband, Rick, DeDra Denholm & husband, Douglas, and Joanie Swiger & husband, David all of Clarksburg; seven grandchildren, Robert Maxwell, Samantha Maxwell, Rebecca Everett, Christopher E. M. Wilt, Gregory Denholm, Jessica Swiger and Chase Swiger; several great grandchildren; sister-in-law Dottie Wilt, Clarksburg and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brother, John “Pete” Calvin Wilt and two brothers in infancy.

Skip was in the United States Army Reserves for eight years. He retired from Patriot Coal.  He was also a licensed contractor, loved to work and was a jack of all trades. Skip was very humorous in making you laugh and playing pranks.  He enjoyed wood working, cutting grass and fishing.
