George Harold Shaddix, age 75, of Northport, Alabama, passed away April 20, 2022 at Moundville Health and Rehab.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Hubert and Clara Shaddix; and his sister, Jan Taylor.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Duke Shaddix of Northport, AL; sons, Gregory (Leanne) Shaddix of Woodstock, GA and Jonathan (Katie) Shaddix of Northport, AL; brother, Charles (Jenny) Shaddix of Hartselle, AL; sister’s husband, Bill Taylor of Lanett, AL; grandchildren, Garrett Shaddix (12) and Jacob Shaddix (8) of Northport, AL.
George was a man who loved his family. He led a life that exemplified the love of Jesus through both action and words. He devoted over forty years in the Tuscaloosa County area shepherding followers of Christ by serving at Northwood Hills Baptist and Dunn’s Creek Baptist among other area services. He was married for 53 years to the love of his life Diane; and was a proud supporter and encourager of his boys, Greg and Jonathan. His grandchildren, Garrett and Jacob, kept his days full and he would have it no other way. He will be greatly missed on this earth, but we rejoice that he is in his heavenly home.
