George Howell was born on July 20, 1927 in Dothan, AL to Carrie B. and Shelby Howell. He served in the Navy as a hospital core man in World War II. He graduated from Auburn University in the Pharmacy School. He was a pharmacist for over 50 years, until he retired from CVS. In his early days in Ft. Walton Beach, FL, he was active in Jr. Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, and Okaloosa Pharmacy Assc. He was also one of the individuals to help start the Ocean City-Wright Fire Department.
George is survived by his wife Billie of 58 years, his 3 Daughters, Jan (Paul), Kim (Robert) and Patsy (Jack), seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
