George Ruzich, 84, died suddenly at home on Monday, May 5, 2008.

  George was a lifetime member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks for over 43 years and served as Exalted Ruler of BPOE #1795 during the 1977-1978 lodge year and as District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for the Great Northwest District of Florida, during the 1983-1984 lodge year, as well as District Director. Mr. Ruzich was a longtime member of the American Legion, Post 235, as well as a lifetime member of the DAV, VFW, PAWS, IOOB, Air Commando Assoc., Air Force Sergeants Assoc. and the Non-Commissioned Officers Assoc.

  George is survived by 2 daughters; Vita Ann Domenicali and her husband Michael & Frances Marie Busi and her husband James of Canton, GA, his grandchildren; Brian, Michael, Jr.,  Dayna and her husband Jon, Aaron and his wife Keara, brother-in-law Garry Noonan and nephews; Jack, Ed & Patrick of the Chicago area, brother-in-law; Anthony Bernichio and his wife Mary of Tinsley Park, IL, as well as a large, extended family. George is also survived by his best friend of many years; Karen Andrews, who has done so much for him over the years, along with her mother, Billie Greetham and brother, Owen Wilson. George’s other great friends include; Waldi and the ladies at Salon Brigitta, Tammy and friends from The Breakfast Place and Donna Wilson, Michele Burns, Michelle Klump, Kathy Grimes, Lisa Van Lindt, Elise, Janine, Tricia Faye and Michelle McCann from the ELKS and of course his wonderful neighbors, James and Tina Kirkpatrick from Alden Drive, who were always willing to give their all to aid him.
