George Edward Rebol Jr. was born October 14, 1953 in Ottumwa Iowa. He was the son of George Edward Rebol Sr. and Margaret Faye (Petary) Rebol.
George grew up in Eldon, Iowa and attended Cardinal of Eldon Schools where he graduated in 1971. Some of the places George lived during his life were
Eldon, Iowa, Ottumwa, Iowa, Marathon,Florida, Albia, Iowa, and the last several years, Chariton, Iowa, where he lived at the time of his death.
In 1986 George met the love of his life, Rebecca Lynn Runnells. They were united in marriage and George devoted his life to her and their 3 sons; Jason Wade, Eric Michael, and Matthew Eugene.
George lived life to the fullest. One of the things he especially loved doing was mushroom hunting. He always came home with plenty to share with his Father-in-law, Jack, who shared with George his ‘secret’ mushroom hunting spots.
George was preceded in death by his Mother, Margaret, Sister, Connie Elder, Nephew, Brian Ehret and Brother-in-law, Randy Metzger.
Additional survivors include his Father, George Rebol Sr. of Eldon, Iowa; Brother Steve Knierm of Eldon, Iowa; Sister, Linda (Greg) Heger of Batavia, Iowa; Brother, Joe (Carol) Rebol of Ottumwa, Iowa; Sister, Janice Christner of Eldon, Iowa, and Brother, Dan Rebol of Eldon, Iowa.
George will be greatly missed by many other family and friends.
