George Ray Collignon, 65 years old, was called on December 22, 2021 from life on earth by Our Father. We know that “it is no part of Our Heavenly Father’s will that any of these little ones be lost”; therefore, we hope and pray, and invite you to hope and pray, that His great mercy will be extended to George so as to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. George entered this world on October 21, 1956, born to Helene and Clarence Collignon, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He loved music of all kinds; it is estimated that he had about 800 CD’s. He loved all animals; and he rescued many in his own way. Some might say that all of the ducks in Baton Rouge knew where to get their daily “bread”. Most of all George loved Kim and cared for her as best he could until the end. There is no one who could tell family stories like George. And the same stories never got old. Tears of laughter would always attend his stories, which were very animated.
George was survived by his loving wife, Rithi Collignon; brothers, Michael Collignon and John Collignon; sister, Rita Collignon Coday; step-daughter, Aileen Anglin and spouse, Tim, and three granddaughters, Rianna, Kayla, and Scarlett; and step-daughter, Jennifer Michelli and spouse, Mitch, and granddaughter, Nora; and a host of nieces and nephews. All of these were loved deeply by George.
George is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Collignon; and mother, Helene Gremillion Collignon.
