George Paul Kistner Sr., 99 of Plant City, passed away Sunday December 14, 2014.
Born in New York City on July 25, 1915, his family moved to Bartow in 1916, where he graduated from the Summerlin Institute in 1934. He served in the United States Navy from 1934-1938 and 1941-1945 and was a World War II veteran.
He was also a lifelong member of the Freemasons.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, the former Annie Cautez Lynch in 1981 and his son, George Paul Kistner Jr. in 2008.
He is survived by his second wife of 30 years, the former Omega Alred of Plant City, Granddaughter, Angela Lynn Groshans, of Leicester, North Carolina, Grandson, George Paul Kistner III, of Merritt Island, FL., Great-Granddaughter, Amanda Hooker Smith and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren, of Waynesville, North Carolina.
He is also preceded in death by his Stepson George Alred. And also survived by Stepchildren Patricia Bryant, Clara Waller, Mary Roland, Paula Belcher and June Smith, 16 Step Grandchildren, 15 Step Great-Grandchildren and 1 Step Geat-Great-Grandchild.
