George Albert Philip Mielke, 75, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Thursday, October 16, 2008 at his home with his wife by his side. George was born June 9, 1933 in Stevensville, Michigan to Clarence and Lily (Geisler) Mielke. On June 24, 1967 he married RuthAnn Goldstein in St. Joseph, Michigan.
He was employed by Paramount Die Cast Corporation, retiring in 1992. George enjoyed country music, fishing, the outdoors, watching car racing, and animals, especially the family dog, Ginger.
Survivors include his wife, RuthAnn; children, Philip A. (Debra) Mielke of Three Oaks; Rebecca A. (Bill) Finney of Three Oaks; grandchildren, Sarah Beth Mielke, Amber Renee Finney, William Troy Finney, Taylor Lynn Mielke, Angie (Dave) Wieczorek, Adam (Jennifer) Williams and Timothy (Dawn) Williams; great grandchildren, Beca, Josh, Emily, Ethan, Sara, Leia, Jeffery, Kayla, Britteny, Tyler and Breanna; sisters, Dorothy (Butch) Hasse, Benton Harbor, Michigan; Geraldine (LeRoy) Shirey, Belleville, Michigan; and Carol Ann Akins, St. Joseph, Michigan; and brothers, Lawrence (Judy) Mielke of Jonesville, Michigan; David Vergot of Bridgman, Michigan and Daniel Vergot of Stevensville.
His parents, Clarence (Anne) Mielke and Lily (Dan) Vergot preceded him in death.
