The general manager of Galahad Marine, North East, MD, in his spare time, George enjoyed shooting and making his own ammo.
He is survived by his loving wife: Joy (Peterson) Mechler; 3 children: George Mechler (Fiancé Tiffany Filler) of North East, MD, Joseph Mechler (Cassie) of Barnegat, NJ, and Mary Anne Mechler of North East, MD; 2 brothers: Gary Mechler (Sharon) of Spring Hill, FL and Scott Mechler (Margerat) of Piscataway, NJ; 3 brother-in-laws: Donald Peterson (Valorie) of Lakeland, FL, Nels Peterson (JoAnn) of East Brunswick, NJ, Jeff Peterson (Kim) of Edison, NJ; and “The Boys” , Milo and Chester, his beloved dogs.
