Elder George McGregor was born to the late Rufus Franklin McGregor and Georgia McGregor on October 20, 1948 in Sylacauga, Alabama. He was called to be with the Lord on February 20, 2018 at his home in Sylacauga. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Lorene Wilson, Irene Cook, and Franklin McGregor Junior. He was married to his wife of 25 years, Linda McGregor, on July 16, 1993.
George had a passion being on the water fishing, helping others, and most of all his family and God. He will truly be missed by all who knew him and encounter he’s kind spirit.
George leaves in spirt those he loved; his lovely wife, Linda McGregor, one sister Corene McGregor, seven children George (Wendy) Mcgregor, Anthony (Tonya) Mcgregor, Tracy Smith, Tina (Derrick), Shalonda Averette, Zavius Averette, and Vince (Shanna) Averette.
He also leaves 24 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, one God son, and a host of other family and friends. He will truly be missed by all who knew him and encounter his kind spirit. His legacy will remain always.
