George M. Granger, 68, beloved husband of Arline (Paquette) Granger, passed away on Saturday November 15, 2008 with his wife and family by his side at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain.
George was born in Bristol on March 27, 1940 a son of the late Nelson M. and Dorothy (Ouellette) Granger Sr.
He was raised in Farmington, attended local schools and graduated from Goodwin Technical School. Mr. Granger was a US Army veteran serving in Okinawa during the early days of the Vietnam War. He was a resident of Forestville for over 40 years and was an entrepreneur who owned the Granger Group Inc., doing construction and acquiring multi-unit residential properties.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his former spouse and their sons, Keith Granger and his wife Beth of Plainville, David Granger and his companion Melissa of New Britain, Michael Granger, and Jeffrey Granger and his companion Carol of New Britain.
His beloved grandchildren, Beckii Plocher and her husband Jacob, George-Michael “Mikey”, Brian, Devven, Alexxis, Kristen and Keith; a daughter-in-law Colleen Granger and step-children, Billy, Denise, Tammy and Nikki Villani and their children, Michael, Shaylene and Garett. He will be missed by his brother, Nelson M. Granger and sister-in-law Jeannette Granger and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his special friends, Doody, Bob, Bruce, Matt, Art and Steve.
