George Lopez Ortega, 84, of Boerne, Texas passed away on September 18th, 2021.
George was born on February 1, 1937 in Comfort, Texas to Adolfo and Petra Ortega. He was a hard-working man, but always found time for the people and things he loved. Mr. Ortega spent many a summer day and his younger years coaching little league and pony league baseball to many of Bernie’s children. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends either bowling, playing dominoes, listening to music, telling jokes and old stories, and collecting coins and aluminum cans.
George is survived by his wife Connie; his children, Eddie (Diane), Ray (Cher), Patricia, and Arthur; his 14 grandchildren, Cody, Kayley, Jeremy, Pilar, Kehli, Aaron, Kristen, Steven, Jessica, Michael, Jeffery, Kelli, Angel, and Dominic; his sister, Grace (Jimmy) Trees; as well as numerous very special nieces and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his father, Clemente Ortega; his mother, Petra Ortega; his stepmother, Ruby Ortega; his son, Richard Ortega; his brother, Clemente Ortega; his sister-in-law, Otillia Ortega; and his nephews, Daniel and David Ortega.
