George Reece Leming

George Reece Leming, a resident of Grand Junction Colorado, was born February 11, 1938 in Flora Vista, New Mexico to George Roscoe Leming and Nellie Elizabeth Gilmour.
George’s family homesteaded in the Flora Vista area. He grew up in the Four Corners area and graduated from Durango High School in 1957. He was a resident of Winslow, Arizona and then Flagstaff, Arizona. When began working for Babbitt Brothers Trading Company in 1962 as an accountant. He resided in Flagstaff until 1982 when he moved to the Junction area Where he owned and ran the Whitewater General Store for many years.
George Loved to bowl. He played in a league in Arizona as well as playing slow pitch softball as a pitcher. He always loved to fish but especially loved to go up on the Mesa. He loved to grow and eat vegetables from his own garden. He also had a collection of Native American Indian rungs and Kachina Dolls. Most of all he loved his family, his children and step children were his world. He had a heart of gold.
George is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Faye Eleanor Haggard, Irene Elizabeth Menkhoff and Ellen Marie Knowlton. He is also preceeded in death by his step-sons Steve Parrack, and Calvin Moore; and step-daughter Shanna Moore.
George is Survived by his children Byron Reece Leming and spouse Rebecca Leming of Hickory, North Carolina; Charissa Lynne Browne and spouse Bobe Browne of Spanish Fort, Alabama; Elizabeth Lene Leming of Grand Junction, Colorado; step-son Brian Keith Parrack and spouse Carla Parrack of Lakeside, Arizona and step-daughters Emmy Moore and spouse Les Miller of Grand Junction, Colorado; and Kelsie Moore and spouse Travis Place of Grand Junction, Colorado. George is also survived by 13 Grand-Children Nicole Parrack, Show Low, Arizona; Nathan Parrack, Glendale Arizona; Caleb Leming Hickory, North Carolina; Hannah Leming, Hickory, North Carolina; Gabriella Browne, of Carrollton, Georgia; Isabelle Browne, Spanish Fort, Alabama; Trevor Moore, Grand Junction, Colorado; Deagen Miller, Grand Junction, Colorado; Christian Miller, Grand Junction, Colorado; Jase Puerto, Grand Junction, Colorado; Jazmin Puerto, Grand Junction, Colorado; Macie Place, Grand Junction, Colorado; Kaitlyn Miller, Grand Junction, Colorado.
