Chief Warrant Officer-4 (retired), George L. Yates of Shalimar, FL, met his Lord and Savior on June 26, 2009.
Mr. Yates was born in Willard, Kentucky on November 14, 1922. After graduating from High School, he joined the U. S. Army Air-Corp and retired from the U. S. Air Force after 27 years. The United States Air Force, in addition to living and traveling around the world with his wife and family were the highlights of his life.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Allene M. Yates, son; George Richard Yates and wife Patty of Jacksonville, FL, daughter; Patricia A. Flinkerbusch and husband Ronald of Mary Esther, FL. Mr. Yates was pre-deceased by his daughter Susan E. Yates
George will always be remembered as a good husband, a good father and a good friend.
