George John Ray, Sr. 55, of Indianapolis passed away on the morning of October 5, 2017. He was born on November 12, 1961 to his parents Glen Albert Ray, Jr. and Jeanine LaVonne Ray in Fort Wayne, Indiana. George was a 1980 graduate of Fort Wayne Northside High School. He was employed as a cook most of his life and worked for several area restaurants. George was a member of The National Rifle Association (NRA), he enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports, cooking, Nascar Racing, and especially Dale Earnhardt Sr,. He loved his family and the time he spent with them.
In addition to his parents, George is survived by his children Glen (Jasmine) Ray, Jessica (Tim) Haynes, George (Dory) Ray, Jr.; seven grandchildren; sisters Jenny (Richard) Fortier, Kathy (Tim) Rigney; Dianna (Tracy) Moistner; Elizabeth (David) Brunsting; grandfather Glen A. Ray, Sr.; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Mary Belle Ray and maternal grandparents Clare and Dorothy Imbody.
