George Hunter Goff, 80, of Clarksburg, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Louis A Johnson, VA Medical Center, from an extended illness. He was born July 7, 1931, son of the late Carl H Goff and Violet M Ables Goff. George was married to the late Ealinore “Topsy” Ross Goff, whom preceded him in death August 2006. George was survived by one sister Helen F Goff Brown and husband Robert of Summit Park; one brother David W Goff and wife Yvonne of Richmond, VA; many nieces and nephews; a very special care giver and friend Cosondra Skidmore; host of friends. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents Rev J William Francis and Nora Goff and Edward and Maud Ables; five brothers, Clark, Jimmy, Martin, Patrick and Floyd Goff; two sisters, Nina Goff and Mary Goff Carroll; niece Catherine Carroll Shingleton.
