George Herbert Mack, Sr., 93, of Durham, husband of the late Irene (Palmer) Mack, passed away on Monday, April 9th at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late William Hansen and Aagot Sather.
George grew up in New Hampshire moving to Durham where he lived since 1941 and was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Navy. He worked at Clark Lift Company where he won many awards for his excellent work. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and loved watching wrestling, westerns and the Red Sox. George is survived by three sons, George Mack of Guilford, Charles Mack of Durham and William L. Mack and his wife, Sheryl of Wallingford and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Along with his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Patricia A. Bacon.
