It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of George Henry Vigil Jr., age 70, of Lakewood, Colorado, on January 22, 2022
George was born on October 26, 1951, in North Carolina to George Henry Vigil and Dorothy Cordelia Valdez.
George is survived by his siblings, Linda Gomez, Larry Vigil, Rick Vigil, Valerie Vigil, and Denise Martinez. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents Edward and Sally Valdez.
George was a gentle soul with childlike faith. He proudly worked in the food industry for many years, and he wasn’t shy in telling everyone, including strangers about his workday and how well he did his job. He loved bowling and anything involving games, prizes, and of course sweets. He also enjoyed attending family events, drinking coffee while working on crossword puzzles, and watching old movies like the Andy Griffith show. He loved music, especially oldies and would sing and dance to his favorite songs. Everyone he came in contact with, he greeted with a handshake and a smile. George was loved by his family and will be deeply missed.
