He is survived by two daughters, Kim Etheredge of Dallas, TX and Michelle Maher of Austin, TX; two grandchildren, Jason Faith and James Maher; nephew, Edward Etheredge of Chattanooga, TN; and his cousin, David Williams of Adamsville, AL. George was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Etheredge Jr.; father, Edward Etheredge, his mother, Rowena Etheredge; his second wife, Vivienne Swanton (d.2019); his first wife, Betty Sue Etheredge (d.1995); and grandson, Pat Allen Faith. George was a member of the Methodist church and served as a Pastor and then worked in wholesale and real estate for many years. George was also a Mason and a Shriner. George operated Stride Rite Bootery for many years in Albuquerque.
