George H. Manuel, Sr., 74, of Cave City, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas.

He was born in Paragould, Arkansas on September 25, 1944, son of the late Thomas O. Manuel and Gracie (Grimes) Kankelfitz. George spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was united in marriage to Helen Glorianne Salmon on January 15, 1972 in Brighton, Tennessee. During his working years George worked in construction, carpentry, insurance sales and was in ministry as a Pastor and Tent Evangelist in the Mid-South. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Cave City, Arkansas and belonged to the Apostolic Minister Alliance.  George loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He loved the Lord and loved to be able to serve the Lord. George enjoyed fishing, Nascar, watching football and politics.

George is survived by his wife, Helen Manuel of Cave City, Arkansas; three children, George Manuel, Jr. and wife Mandy of Cave City, Arkansas, Kristina Rogers and husband Greg of Inverness, Florida and Anita Mills and husband Rick of Cave City, Arkansas; step-children, Teresa Smithey and husband Chris of Champaign, Illinois and Tina Beakley and husband Robert of Drasco, Arkansas; grandchildren, Ariel Manuel O’Neal and husband Tyler, Whitney Rogers, Tiffany Koester and husband Kyle, Ann Beakley, Erin Beakley Eberhardt and husband Steven, Jonathon Manuel, Martin Manuel and wife Cheyenne, Tristian Manuel, Keith Rogers, Joey Simpson, C.J. Smithey and Robbie Beakley; great grandchildren, Myah Manuel, Kimber O’Neal, Sophie O’Neal, McKenzie Koester, Trenton Koester, Bennett Eberhardt and Carson Smithey; sisters, Faye Melton and husband Jack of Morton, Illinois and Renee Greenhall and husband Jimmy of Judsonia, Arkansas and brothers, Thomas Manuel of Cave City, Arkansas, Gerald Manuel and wife Debbie of East Peoria, Illinois, Sam Manuel and wife Neina of Cave City, Arkansas, Phillip Manuel and Ailene of Fort Walton, Florida and Tony Manuel and wife Melissa of Russellville, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Manuel and Gracie Kankelfitz; great granddaughter, Madison Koester, sisters, Sue Thrasher, Margaret Kent and Barbara Mitchell and brother, Johnny Manuel.
