George Herbert Hall, 52, of Galesburg, died on July 3, 2019, 6:01 PM, at his home. George was born on August 6, 1966, in Elgin. He was the son of Everett H. and Dorothea F. (Posey) Hall. He married the love of his life Lisa A. Sandoval on Dec. 29, 1987, in Galesburg She preceded him in death on April 14, 2007.
George is survived by his daughter, Jessica (James) Davis of Washington; brother, Sammy (Julienne) Hall of TX; sister, LaRayne (Kim) Vazzana of TX; brother-in-law, George Lewerenz of Huntley; three grandchildren, Jacelle, Quinton and Unique; three nephews, Justen Sandelli, Robert Bonds both of TX, and Brian Lewerenz of Huntley; and a niece, Cheryl Moore of TX.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; sister, Dorothy (Hall) Lewerenz; and niece, Jennifer Lewerenz. George worked for Maytag Corp. for 18 years. He then obtained his Certificate in Computer IT Technology… George then worked as a Global Manager at DXC Technologies for the last 12 years. George loved music, playing his guitars, and attending rock concerts.
He loved to cook (especially Mexican) and held many cookouts for his family and his friends. He was always proud of his landscaping and his lawn. He was an avid Chicago Bears, wrestling, and boxing fan. He enjoyed working out, and was proud of his Cadillac. George never knew a stranger, and welcomed everyone to his home with open arms.
He was very supportive of his family and friends. He always put the needs of others before his own. George would “go with the flow” and responded “no worries” to anything troublesome. He loved his daughter Jessica, James and the grandkids. In the words of Quinton, George was the “boss-man”.
