DEACON GEORGE FULLER was born December 24, 1938 in El Reno, Oklahoma, one of the twins born to Mable and Kenneth Fuller. The family moved to Kingfisher, Oklahoma where George was raised and received his formal education, graduating from Kingfisher High School.

With high ambitions and the desire for a better life George moved to San Diego, California.

He soon met Hartwell W. Ragsdale, also a former Oklahoman, and a lifelong relationship was started. George moved into an apartment above the garage at Anderson-Ragsdale Mortuary and was residing there when he met and married Betty Jean Hunt. This couple soon found a house and their union was blessed with three children.

George was employed at Crowley Casket Company and held many positions there before starting his career at Rohr Industries that lasted thirty-three years, retiring in 2007. He remained a staff member at Anderson-Ragsdale Mortuary and at the time of his death held the longest tenure on record, over fifty years.

On February 11, 2011, George married Shirley Johnson. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. To know him was to love him. No one ever had a negative thing to say about George. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty; mother, Mable; and his twin brother, Kenneth. God called Deacon George Fuller from labor to eternal rest on Saturday, May 26, 2012.
