George Freehling, 98, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Jordan’s Life Care Center in Bridgman, Michigan. He is now joyfully reunited with the love of his life, Marguerite, who preceded him in death on October 23, 2004, and to whom he was married for 70 years.

George was born February 7, 1912 in Three Oaks to George and Margaret (Rosenthal) Freehling. He married Marguerite Payne on March 31, 1934 in Michigan City, Indiana. George enjoyed working on the farm and talking about agriculture with other area farmers.

He and Marguerite were members of St. John Church. Survivors include his children, Sandra Beaudette, St. Joseph, Michigan; Joyce (Bob) Schlutt, Bridgman, Michigan; Deborah Freehling, Three Oaks; Ronald (Marie) Freehling, Three Oaks; Donald Freehling, Rock Hill, South Carolina; Daniel (Colleen) Freehling, Battle Creek, Michigan and Dennis (Annette) Freehling, Sawyer, Michigan; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
