George Frederick Quinn, 80, of Peru, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Manor Court in Peru. Mr. Quinn was born December 4, 1930 in Montpelier, VT to George and Helene (Couch) Quinn. He married Margaret H. O’Hearne on February 8, 1953 in Woburn, MA. Mr. Quinn was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Massachusetts and the American Legion. He owned and operated a bread delivery business and was an electrical assembler. He was a lifeguard and a scuba diver. He enjoyed traveling the United States and was devoted to his dog, Suzie Q.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret and his family, a niece, Maureen (OHearne) Rebholz and her husband, Michael of Peru; a nephew, Richard O’Hearne and his wife, Janice (Martuzzo) of DesMoines, IA; a niece, Deborah (O’Hearne) Harmer of Naples, FL; other nieces and nephews, Mark (Ann) O’Hearne, Susan (Patrick) O’Doughrety, Danny Dobbins, Brian O’Hearne, Brenda (O’Hearne) Willis, Shiela Dobbins, Kevin Dobbins, Donna Dobbins, Allen Dobbins, Robert Quinn, Becky Graham; six great-nieces and nephews and four great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert Sr. and his sister, Betty.
