George was born on December 18, 1933 to the late Clinton Jackson and Isabel Thompson Jackson in Seneca, Maryland. His grandparents were the late Basil Jackson and Stella Mills Jackson Thomas. He was the youngest of seven siblings. As a native of Montgomery County, he attended Quince Orchard Public Elementary School and Lincoln High School.
George was married to Ethel Martin Jackson on October 24, 1964, in Rockville, Maryland. From this union they were blessed with four children. He was a dedicated employee serving 35 years with Montgomery County Public Schools. He was a humble hard worker. All of his life he would always expressed appreciation when someone had done something for him. George loved his family and he was always concern with the welfare of his children. He always inspired them to help each other.
