George Richard Fisher SR., age 85, of Livermore, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016, at his home in Livermore. George was born on February 10, 1931, in Irvington to Theodore and Lena (Shaubecher) Fisher.
He enlisted into the United States Navy in 1948 and was Honorably Discharged in 1950. On March 17, 1950 George was united in marriage to Charlotte Black in Blue Earth, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Livermore. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Algona and loved to serve his Lord and Church.
George is survived by his son Andrew (Quo Xioayan) Fisher of Bode; grandchildren: Carradean (Desiman) Stone of Livermore, Charlotte Weydert of Michigan, Jennifer (Arron) Justice of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Samuel Fisher, Rachelle (Shawn) Thomas, Rebecca Smith, George (Grace) Fisher III and Jerry Fisher; great grandchildren: Andrew and D.J Stone, Trista and Ashlynn Wolfe, Avery, Kayle, Evan and Aiden Wolfe, Gabriel Thomas and Farah Smith and brothers: Vic (Rose) Fisher of Livermore, Ted (Lou) Fisher of Fairmount, Minnesota and Paul (Carol) Fisher of California. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte; son, George Fisher JR.; grandson, Glen Fisher and siblings: Eva, Dorris, Ray, Conrad, Willie, Dan, Jack and Gary.
