George is survived by his wife Julie Mannion, son Matthew Mannion, his brothers, Michael Mannion (Melissa), John Mannion, Timothy Mannion (Cecira), sisters Gail Winterstella (John) and Mary Ellen Mannion and many beloved nephews. He is preceded in death by his father John Mannion and mother Margaret Mannion. George moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1981 and began his pursuit of becoming a restaurateur. Following a passion for skiing, he moved to Copper Mountain and met his wife Julie. After a couple of years of mountain living, George and Julie relocated to Denver where he began his career in restaurant management and ownership. Over the years of being in the restaurant business, George touched the lives of many people. He mentored and guided many whether their pursuit was in the restaurant business or something else. George was an avid skier and enjoyed the outdoors. His love of skiing led him to volunteer for the National Center for the Sports Disabled and for over 20 years, George dedicated his time to help those with disabilities. George also served on the board of directors for Adaptive Adventures, whose mission is provide progressive outdoor activities to improve the quality of life for those with disabilities.
