George Eugene Hansen, 43, of Idaho Falls, (if you ask was Texan!) passed away suddenly in a tragic accident on Wednesday, July 8, 2020. He left behind a loving family, including his wonderful son, Terrence (16); adoring wife, Corrie; loving parents, Eugene and Branka Hansen; sister, Susi Widerburg (Lenny); brother, Goran Hansen (Kristy); and countless other friends and family. He was preceded in death by his Uncle Wayne and Aunt Donna Douglas; grandparents, Floyd and Lois Hansen and Bozin grandparents; and many others he loved.
George was an All American if there ever was one! He loved his country more than anyone. George was an amazing father to Terrence and loved him more than words could ever express; he was so proud of the wonderful young man Terrence is growing into.
George found the love of his life in his wife, Corrie, and their love is true, deep and forever. It was truly love at first sight for them both. They shared many adventures together, and together, with Terrence, had a very happy and full life. They shared a passion for their boxer dogs, Archer and Mattis, as well as strong support of dog rescue, wounded warrior foundations, and support of first responders/law enforcement.
George was a dedicated son who admired, respected, and loved his parents very much. George truly loved his family and friends and would have done anything to help them. He was genuine and kind. His patriotism was immeasurable, as was his ability for sarcasm and respect and love for all who serve our country. If you knew George, you know if he teased were liked. George had a quick wit, sharp tongue, and very intact sense of humor. George had the best memory, but his wife loves to tease that he never remembered the date of her birthday, yet always managed to spoil her and shower her with love.
George will be missed by so many, but we all know that he is happy and with his dogs, Sting, Newman, Hendo, and Patton, who greeted him with wiggles and kisses.
