Mr. George Eugene Glant, of Indianapolis, passed away on the late evening of Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Crestwood Village South. He was 98. He was born March 3, 1921 in Warsaw, Indiana a son of the late Chester E. and Margaret (Ferverda) Glant.
George attended Warsaw Community High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1939. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and honorably served his country during World War II.
George will be remembered for embracing a full life, his love of God and family along with his quiet strength.
George is survived by his sons, Robert E. (Jerri) Glant and John E. Glant; his grandchildren, Eric (Rene) Glant, Jeffrey Glant, Joshua (Misty) Glant and Erin Glant; several great-grandchildren and his sister, Mary Wigner.
In addition to his parents, George is preceded in passing by his loving wife of over 70 years, Mildred M. ‘Millie’ Glant; a brother, Chester Glant, Jr. and a sister, Joyce Zimmermann.
