George Ernest Holder, 63, a well known Chattanooga landmark business owner and thirty five year resident of Elder Mountain passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 after a nineteen month battle with ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease. For over thirty years, Mr. Holder managed Holder’s Restaurant which became a city icon and waypoint for travelers to Chattanooga.
