George Eric Carter (72) passed away unexpectedly on July 2, 2021 surrounded by family. He was born June 7, 1949 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Rose Mildred (Kodesh) Anderson and Douglas Raymond Carter. He was the youngest of five siblings. George was an avid outdoorsman from a young age including fishing, hunting, and horseback riding. He graduated from Carey High School where he was also an active student athlete in football, basketball and track.

George joined the U.S. Air Force in August of 1968 where he served in the Air police as a convoy escort. He served his country during the Vietnam War where he was stationed in Danang, Vietnam. After the war he was stationed Ogden, Utah. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in September of 1989 with an Honorable Discharge. His retiring rank was Master Sergeant. He was a highly decorated veteran who received multiple metals including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

After retiring from the military, George was the first paraplegic to graduate from the Adams County Police Department.

George was preceded in death by his sister Maxine Fern Carter, his brother Raymond Erwin Carter, and his daughter-in-law Anongrat Carter.
