George Edward Trader,91 of Jensen Beach, Fl., formerly of Grafton, passed away October 16, 2016, He was born July 17, 1925 in Grafton, son of the late Raymond Clyde and Edna Mae Larew Trader.
George is survived by his wife, Ida Mae Keener Trader.
Was a Veteran of the US. ARMY, serving in World War ll 1943-1945 tail gunner in a B-24 Liberator bomber.
He was a graduate of GHS. Class 1943, graduated from Fairmont State with a Bachelor of Arts in education in 1952, he taught shop, coached, drove school bus at Grundy Virginia High School in Grundy, VA. Retired from Woodbridge High School in Virginia where he taught Biology, and was athletic director, coached girls and boys basketball and boys football , Member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board in Martin County, Stuart, FL., loved fishing, huntingand spending time with his family and friends. and went to WVU on a football Scolarship, they had a summer home West Port, Canada.
George is survived by one son; George M. Trader and wife Virginia Ann Orlando, FL. two; grandchildren; Michael McInteer, DC, Erin Kay Trader, FL and four great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins
In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by a daughter; Nancy Trader McInteer, two sisters, Alice Cozad, Catherine House, two brothers; Bernard Larew, Robert Trader.
