George E. Gray, 88, Warren, IN passed away peacefully at 12:50 AM, Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at his residence in Warren, IN. Mr. Gray was born May 14, 1924 in Crawfordsville, IN to Albert F. and Myrtle E. (Harwood) Gray.
His parents preceded him in death. He was married to Shirley Mae Krieg on March 10, 1956 and she preceded him in death January 31, 2004 Mr. Gray served in the United States Army during World War II as a Medic on Naval Transport Ships between The United States and overseas ports. After his return home, he was a lifelong professional bricklayer.
He was a member of The International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers and a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Post 2689 in Huntington, INMr. Gray is survived two daughters: Susan Garwood husband Jim of Warren, IN, Jacquelyn Riggers of Warren, IN and one son Tom Gray and wife Margie of Churubusco, IN. One step daughter Karen Krieg Winske. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.Two brothers Norman A. Gray of Columbia City and Billy F. Gray of Wolf Lake, IN.
He was preceded in death by one brother Donald F. Gray and a sister Winfred Gray Bowers.
