George Dargan, 75 died on Sunday August 2, 2015

Mr. Dargan was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He immigrated to this country in 1964 and lived in Jackson Heights, Queens. He moved to Brooklyn in 1967 and lived there until 1972 before moving to Kearny.

George served in the British Royal Army. He worked as a Carpenter at the N.Y.U. Medical Center in New York City for 38 years retiring in 2001 and was a member of Local 810 International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

St, Stephen’s Church was an important part of George’s life. He was a member of the Holy Name Society; served as an usher; volunteered at the food pantry and was a door monitor for the CCD program. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 6928.

Mr. Dargan is survived by his wife Madge T. (McGrath); four daughters Angela C. Waller (Jeff), Maria P. Masino (Phil), Brenda Dargan-Levy (Shirley) and Madge Dargan; one sister Catherine Starrs; grandchildren Ceili and Fiona Waller, Sean and Cara Masino and Eden Liat Dargan-Levy and his brother-in-law Patrick Mcgrath.
