On November 12, 2005 Mr. George D. Fowler, Jr. passed away at the Genesis Eldercare in Severna Park after complications from a brief illness. He was 81 years old. Mr. Fowler was a devoted husband to the late Pearl Fowler, a beloved father to Rev. Dr. Michael J. Fowler, Bonnie Abrashoff, and Patricia Kelm. He was a dear brother to the late Rear Admiral William S. Stuart, and the late Captain Richard S. Stuart. He was the cherished grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 6.
Mr. Fowler served in the United States Air Force for twenty years. He retired in 1963 with the rank of Captain. He continued his career as a civilian worker in the Department of Defense for 30 years. Born on June 24, 1924 in Bluefield, West Virginia, George moved to Glen Burnie 1n 1959 where he resided for 46 years. Captain George Fowler was a highly decorated serviceman and a proud patriot.
