George D. “Bill” Garretson, 74, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 17, 2017, at his home in Morristown. He was a member of The Country Church. He was a lifelong farmer, founder of Garretson Estates, and was responsible for numerous community developments in the Hamblen and Greene county areas. He loved to fish especially with his buddy Kyle. He was preceded in death by his wife of 16 years Virgie Garretson; parents Dan and Bobbie Garretson; and his brother Charles Henry Garretson.
Survivors include his daughter Earlene and Scott Townley; grandsons Jonathan and Ashley Holt and Chandler and Amber Glover; two great grandchildren London and Dylan Holt; brother-in-law, Jimmy Fox, as well as several other special friends and family members.
The family would like to thank Amedisys Home Health and Hospice for all of their care and support.
