George Coleman Hoagland passed away on October 11, 2021. He was born on June 16, 1942, in Jacksonville, Illinois. After graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture from Arizona State University in 1968, he moved to Honolulu, Hawaii with his loving wife and took a job with an architectural firm. They eventually settled in Arizona where George started his own architectural firm, GCH Limited, in 1981. Throughout his career he was president of the Central Arizona Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and a member of the Planning Commission for the City of Scottsdale.
George lived a full life with his wife, Cheryl Anne Hoagland, in Scottsdale, Arizona. George is survived by Cheryl, son George Scott Hoagland, daughter Jennifer Paige Gadow (Nicholas), grandchildren Colton Gadow and Piper Gadow, sister Pam Jones, nieces Erica McClurg (Chris) and Amanda Jones, and nephew Jack Graff.
George was an incredibly loving father and husband. We are saddened to no longer be in his presence, but we are comforted knowing that his legacy will live on through the many people who knew and loved him over the years.
