George C. Rossi, age 86, passed away peacefully at home after a period of declining health. He was born March 31, 1934, in Southborough, MA to the late Cesare and Guilia (Peroncini) Rossi. He moved with his family to Beverly and lived there for over 72 years.
He was hard working and incredibly smart, graduating from Northeastern University as a civil engineer and loved working on bridge construction, projects such as the Newburyport Waterfront, The Martin Burns Bridge in Newbury, Niagara Falls, Logan Airport and ultimately retiring from The Big Dig Project.
He was a man that lived his life on his own terms and often said: I am the captain of my own ship. His daughter would like to thank Allcare Hospice: Elena, Deb, Lisa and Geraldine for their care, strength and support as well as his incredible caregiving team: Julius, Angela, Lucia and Enoch and Ted.
