George C. Pappas was born on September 11, 1956 in Denver, Colorado. He was the son of George E. Pappas and Beverly Deane Pappas/O’Mohundro. His death on March 24, 2018 in Aurora, Co is deemed a homicide. An investigation is in progress. He was 61. He will be missed by his family and friends. George grew up and went to Cherry Creek schools in Denver but finished the last year of high school in San Diego. He studied journalism at a community college and he enjoyed writing poems. He turned his life to the Lord in his late teens and was a believer in the Lord Jesus. Because of his beliefs, he wanted to go to Jerusalem. While living in Jerusalem in the 80’s he met his wife and married Diana Bornstein. They later divorced, and George moved back to Denver, Colorado. George worked as a cook at various places and cooking healthy was his favorite. He also loved helping his mother with antique sales in many states. George is survived by his mother Beverly O’Mohundro, sisters Marlene Pappas, Monica (Patrick) Pappas-Adams, and Linda Cahoon and many nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his father George E. Pappas of the Holly Inn Restaurants.
