George Bukovick Jr.Age 95 of Owosso passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Durand Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 21st at 2:00 p.m. at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Reverend Jean Munro officiating. George was born June 12, 1919 in Owosso, the son of George and Anna (Hloska) Bukovcik. He served in the United States Army in the South Pacific during WWII and was a member of the Corunna VFW Post 4005.George enjoyed working in his garden and watching it grow. He loved to fish and he looked forward each fall to his deer hunting trips with his buddies. George loved music and spent his life working as a private music instructor. He is survived by his daughter Susan (Dennis) Piper; son Richard Bukovick; grandchildren Mariah Piper, Natalie Cox, Clint Marshall and Julie Marshall; brothers Robert (Onalee) Bukovcik, Charles (Arlene) Bukovcik and William (Jane) Bukovcik ; sister Helen (Donald) Stanton; many other loving family and friends.He was predeceased by his parents and his brother John Bukovcik.
