Funeral Services for George Bruna Mitchell, age 70, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Monday, July 25, 2022, will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Flat Top Unity Baptist Church.Visitation will be Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Flat Top Unity Baptist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.Rev. Randy Shaw will officiate the service.A native of Picayune, MS, he was a Heavy Equipment Operator and a member of Flat Top Unity Baptist Church. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and an avid outdoorsman who never met a stranger. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sebron B. Mitchell and Onita Dickerson Mitchell; brother, James Mitchell; sister, Barbara Mitchell.Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over 49 wonderful years, Cindy Ferguson Mitchell; son, Brandon (Carrie) Mitchell; daughters, Kristy (Manny) Haenggi and Jennifer (Tyler) Griffin; grandchildren, Steven (Hannah) Mitchell, Ethan Lossett, Audrey Mitchell, Chloe Lossett, Garrison Mitchell, Gideon Griffin, and Joel Griffin; great grandchildren, Oliver and Archer Mitchell; brothers, Jerry (Karen) Mitchell and Don Mitchell; several nieces and nephews.
