George passed away peacefully December 6, 2022 at Adventist Hospital, Castle Rock, CO surrounded by his wife and son.
George was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. His father George B Dostal II and his mother Shirley Marie Dostal (Hatch) preceded him in death.
He is survived by his beloved wife Kathy (Fox), his son Issac who he adored, 6 wonderful siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews from multiple generations.
George Graduated from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio Texas and had a long teaching career in secondary education as a religious brother.
He married Kathy in 1978 in Trinidad CO. George and Kathy had a long and fulfilling life together.
George and Kathy owned and operated the Natural Food Store in Trinidad from 1983 until 1993. They sold their store and entered full time cross-cultural ministry serving the poor of Guatemala.
In 1998, in Antigua Guatemala, they met and adopted Issac. He became the delight of Georges’ life.
George enjoyed the outdoors including fishing, hunting, mountain climbing, camping and biking. He loved walks in the park with Kathy. His faith was paramount in his life and more than anything, he loved singing his favorite worship songs. His smile was contagious as was his sense of humor. There are no words to describe how much he will be missed.
