On August 21, 2013, George was called home to be with our savior. George was employed at the Ventura County Railroad since 1986, he also worked at the Trona Railway in Trona, Ca., before coming to Oxnard, Ca. George loved his Harley, rides together with his wife and friends, he also loved to play golf. He was a member of the championship BBQ Team, “Men of Mesquite”, was able to travel the state, assist, help and win various BBQ awards.
George was a kind man, one who was always available to anyone in need, with a willing hand and warm smiles. Always quick with a joke and a smile, many of us will fondly remember our “Trona George.” He will live forever in our hearts. George leaves behind his wife Ramona Blyler of 26 years, a son Jeff Blyler, daughter Gina Kauppi, both of Ridgecrest, Ca. A step-son Joseph Cenquiqrana of Oxnard, step-daughter Elise Fairchild of Idaho, and eight grandchildren. Sisters, Donna Saulino of Arcadia, Ca., Harriet Post, Becky Stanley, Debbie Lindsey of Ridgecrest, Ca., as well as his mother Betty Barbato of Trona, Ca.
