George Benjamin Yeager III August 4, 1986 born in Staten Island, NY and left too soon on August 13, 2018, in Scottsdale, AZ Beloved son of Lisa Yeager (of Scottsdale, AZ) and beloved only brother of Chelsea Cristine Yeager. Predeceased by his father, George Benjamin Yeager. George is also survived by aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and paternal grandparents. An artist, musician, writer and kind and sensitive soul. From Early childhood George’s spark, intelligence and creativity was evident. He skipped a grade in school and earned a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do along with participating and placing in numerous tournaments and Junior Olympics. He always loved to draw, sculpt and write stories. Music was also a passion and he took up guitar at 13 years old, and then began to pick up other instruments as well. George attended Staten Island Tech High School and was involved in student government there. He continued to play and create music with his friends and worked at various Island businesses. He may have delivered a pizza to you or assisted your purchase at Hot Topic during his high school years. George went on to NYIT for college on a full scholarship and part of his program was an internship at Purple Cow Productions, a music video production company. George was an avid film buff, always quoting dialogue and remembering directors, producers etc. of many films. He was a Sci-fi aficionado. Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who to name a few. He was also appreciative of The Lord of the Rings series and Harry Potter. In fact, he read The Hobbit at the age of 7. One of his all-time favorites was Twin Peaks which inspired many of his paintings, and he had a deep admiration for David Lynch, creator of the series. During his college years his mental health struggles began to grow. Despite that, he developed his painting skills which continued to the end. About that time he got his best buddy Yoda the pug, which anyone who knew him, knew Yoda! Sadly, Yoda predeceased George in April. Before moving to Arizona last year to be near his mom, George lived in Staten Island and worked at Call It A Wrap. He always continued to write and paint and hoped one day to be well enough to work in film production, which he had studied, or graphic design which he had a real talent for also. He will be remembered by family and friends as quick witted, humorous, extremely intelligent and passionate about human rights. His memory never ceased to amaze, nor his musical abilities. He was a tremendous Guns N’ Roses fan, having seen them live numerous times with his family. Some of his other favorites were Sublime, The Beatles and Coheed and Cambria, to name a few. Unfortunately his inner struggles led to numerous hospitalizations and ultimately his passing. On his last night, he went to see a favorite band, Coheed and Cambria, then came home and hugged and kissed his mom.
