Dr. George Eldon Barker, age 87, passed away peacefully at his winter home in New Orleans on April 7. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia Barker, and their two children, Ellen, New Orleans, and Mark and his wife, Debra, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and by his devoted dog, Sadie. Dr. Barker taught philosophy at Ball State University for 47 years and also served as associate department chair. He loved teaching and working with his students.
